TKS Exhibition Services Ltd., which was set up in August 2004 to acquire ITE Hong Kong, held ITE for the first time in June 2005, Despites the short time span for preparation, ITE 2005 grew to three halls from two largely through re-positioning and investments to upgrade services.
In 2006, TKS launched ITE MICE to be held concurrently, thus ITE Hong Kong used a total of 4 halls in 2006, then 5 halls but in two floors in 2007. Starting from its 2009 edition when HKCEC completed its expansion, ITE Hong Kong uses 5 halls in the same floor.
KS Tong, founder and managing director of TKS, graduated from the University of Hong Kong first with the degrees of BSC and some years later MBA. An industry veteran, KS has over thirty years of experience in organizing international trade exhibitions in Hong Kong, major cities in China (mainland), Vietnam and Indonesia. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Industry Association (HKECIA) and the Chairman of its Training and Education Committee. He once served in PR committee of the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong, and two consecutive terms as Advisor of the Tourism Committee of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU) etc. Recently, KS has been speaking on Outbound Market of Hong Kong.
