Australia, Take It Slow
Read More...
The world can be this quiet — Australia has never been just a destination. It carries its own rhythm, one that invites you to slow down and rediscover a land through all your senses.
Karin will take you across five regions of Australia: waiting for wild dolphins to glide toward you at Shark Bay; sharing a smile with the world's happiest animal, the quokka, on Rottnest Island; descending into the ancient silence of Jewel Cave, then brushing past a stingray in the shallows at low tide; stepping into the Daintree Rainforest — older than the dinosaurs themselves; roaming wild alongside sea lions on Kangaroo Island; soaking in the natural hot springs of Mornington Peninsula; and finally, finding stillness at Crystal Castle before letting the waves of Coogee Beach wash every last thought away.
This talk is an invitation — to let Australia slowly bring you back to yourself.

The Poetry and Truffle Aroma of Soria, Spain
Read More...
Soria is a Spanish city gently embraced by time. Known for its pristine natural beauty, the Duero River, and vast forests often referred to as the “Lungs of Europe”, Soria reveals a completely different palette of colours with each changing season.
What Soria is most famous for, however, is the “black diamond” hidden within its forests. Blessed with an exceptional climate and soil, the region has become one of Europe’s most important areas for mushrooms and fungi.
Local mushroom foraging culture combines ecological conservation with sustainable practices, turning this land into a major centre for global mycological research. It has also given rise to Soria Gastronómica, the internationally acclaimed Soria International Gastronomy and Mycology Tourism Forum, held every two years.
This prestigious event brings together Michelin-starred chefs, biologists and tourism experts from around the world, celebrating the rich connection between nature, gastronomy and sustainable travel.
Of course, in Spain — a country celebrated as a capital of gastronomy — the culinary delights go far beyond that. We will also introduce signature dishes and must-try flavours from other regions across the country.

Timeworn Cobblestones: A Cultural Journey from Macao to Portugal
Read More...
Step onto the iconic Portuguese cobblestone pavements and join us on a cultural journey that bridges Europe and Asia.
This travel talk begins in my familiar hometown of Macao and continues all the way to sun-kissed Portugal in Southern Europe, tracing the shared historical imprints and distinctive charms that connect these two places across continents.
Our journey starts with a stroll through Senado Square, where the wave-patterned stone pavements reflect centuries of cultural exchange between China and Portugal. We will then venture into the St. Lazarus Creative District, where the striking yellow façade of the historic Albergue SCM and its century-old trees reveal how traditional Southern European architecture continues to nurture the artistic vitality of contemporary Macao.
With this familiar cultural foundation in mind, we will travel halfway across the world to explore the old quarters of three classic Portuguese cities, embarking on a journey of visual discovery and cultural reflection.
In Lisbon, we will ride the vintage yellow tram through the steep, maze-like lanes of Alfama. In Porto, we will wander along the UNESCO-listed Ribeira district by the Douro River, admire the magnificent Azulejo tile panels at São Bento Station, and visit the enchanting Livraria Lello, a bookshop filled with magical charm. Finally, in Elvas, a World Heritage site often overlooked by travellers, we will discover its uniquely structured star-shaped fortress and the spectacular Amoreira Aqueduct.
This is more than a journey between two destinations — it is a dialogue between histories, cultures and cities connected by stone paths, architecture and memory.

A Journey Along Europe's Rhine River
Read More...
Europe boasts two iconic river routes worth exploring — the Rhine and the Danube, each with its own distinct character. This session focuses on the Rhine, stretching 1,232 kilometres from its source in the Swiss Alps through Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and beyond, making it the longest river in Western Europe.
The Rhine winds through some of Europe's most celebrated cities, including Frankfurt, Cologne (Germany's fourth largest city), Düsseldorf, Rüdesheim, Breisach, Strasbourg in France, the Vauban Dam, the magnificent Strasbourg Cathedral, and the Swiss cities of Basel and Lucerne — the latter famously surrounded by mountains and offering breathtaking scenery.
No Rhine journey is complete without indulging in the region's iconic cuisine. Germany's legendary pork knuckle is a must — so satisfying it practically demands a photo for your friends. Pair it with a locally brewed beer, and you truly haven't experienced Germany until you've had both. From hearty sausages and French escargot to Michelin-starred restaurants, Toblerone chocolate, and world-renowned luxury handbags and watches — there is simply too much to cover here. Join us at the seminar for a full and detailed introduction!
