The annual ITE Hong Kong (ITE) was first launched some 40 years ago, which thus among Asia’s earliest travel fair. At first ITE only covered leisure travel, and started incorporating ITE MICE in 2006.

TKS the current organizer acquired ITE in mid-2004, and held its first ITE (19th edition) in 2005. Before TKS, ITE already changed hand twice. In fact, one of its previous organizer was a company formed by several major travel agents in Hong Kong.

In some years in the Nineties, ITE used 4 halls as then the China (mainland) pavilion occupied over half of all space. Situation changed, then ITE shrink to 2 halls in later half of the Nineties.

Within its first four years, TKS completely revamped ITE: (a) grew from two halls in 2004 to five in 2008; (b) launched ITE MICE in 2006; (c) extensively internationalized and expanded its exhibitors etc. Once HKCEC completed its expansion, each ITE except in some pandemic years had exhibitors all located in 5 halls in same floor.

With over 650 exhibitors, ITE2019 reached a new height! Then social unrest in mid-2019 and Covid-19 in 2020 brought ITE to a complete stop! Yes, ITE2020 canceled. However, live ITE been held each year since 2021, all with exhibitors from outside and overseas, and separate trade and public days.

ITE2024 had 85% of its 500 exhibitors and nearly half of buyers and trade visitors from outside etc. and the HK government named ITE2025 a MEGA EVENT. Our Honor! In fact, every edition of ITE organized by TKS receive Message of Blessing from the Chief Executives of Hong Kong SAR.
